University of the Punjab
The University of the Punjab was established in 1882 at Lahore and is today the largest and the oldest seat of higher learning in Pakistan. The fact that this university has produced three Nobel laureates is eloquent testimony to its academic excellence. Located in the historic and culturally vibrant city of Lahore, the university has played a leading role in higher education in the country.
Geumgang University
Geumgang University was founded in Nonsan, Korea in 2003. The university pursues education and research in Buddhist studies and social welfare, international trade and public administration, and general studies that focus on the understanding of human society, the instillation of a sound moral sense, the cultivation of skills and abilities important in modern society, and the development of the basic learning ability essential for effective academic activities. The university works to develop academic exchanges, including student and professor exchanges, with leading universities around the world.
University of Vienna
The University of Vienna in Austria is the home of its well-known Department of South Asian, Tibetan and Buddhist Studies. The project on the Vienna side was funded by the Austrian Science Fund (see FWF).
